Who we are?

Our movement gather intellectuals, students, politicians, contractors, tradesmen, unionists and all our nation work forces. We are independent of all political parties involved in the transition period in DRC.

For the best interest of our country, we aim on unifying all Congolese regardless of their ethnic origins, tribes, genders, religions, and other discriminating considerations.

We request anyone to overcome our personal interest and think about the country's interest in conjunction of those of our partners and investors. It is known that "United" the country will "stand".

We support the global election in the country as the only legitimate way to access the political affairs.

In contrast to the time of its independence in 1960, the country has now a panel of experts in many areas: health, education, economy, sports and son on. Those resources needed to get organized to succeed and work for the country.

DRC richness is not only provided by its natural resources, we have now tremendous expertises requiring a minimal organization and harmonization to fulfil the challenge we facing for best interest of all partners.

Origin and base of the Movement

Facing the risk of partitioning of the DRC, we decided in February 17, 2004 to launch an independent movement, which will unite over existing political parties, any Congolese willing to save the unity and the integrity of the DRC. Our movement aims is to defend the "Congo's Unity and Integrity". For a better development, we want to overcome our personal interest, ethnic origin, region, political and religious cleavages for the best interest of our nation. The DRC interests rely on our partner's confidence to build new partnership in a fully trusted relation based on a mutually shared interest. At Unic we believe that this is possible and completely realistic.

Our Objectives

Our main objective is to win the first democratic elections ever held in DRC and govern to a promising destiny of the country. We intend to develop actions for the peace, the democracy, human right, and a sustainable development.

Therefore we will:

• assemble all Congolese beyond their ethnic, tribal, regional or religious group
• defend the integrity of the DRC territories
• enter into serious agreements with the DRC traditional friends or partners
• secure our citizens and partners within and abroad the country and their investments
• engage the DRC in the way of its sustainable development
• improve the daily life of our of our citizens by applying new policies on public health and social program
• bring back their dignity to the Congolese people
• redeem the confidence of our national and international investors by our commitments to our words.

Ideology

Our ideology is the "rational pragmatism".

what means to be pragmatic and rational?

To be pragmatic, it is to adopt everything which is realistic, concrete, natural, positive, convenient and useful for the DRC in a rational spirit i.e. reasonable, judicious, logical, Cartesian, coherent, judicious, just, functional and methodical.

The base of our ideology allows to avoid the phenomenon of mutual rejection due to the fact that it is based on what is useful and important for anyone. Our leadership will value all our Unic's partners in their diversities.

Our symbols

The Flag		Emblem
Unic's flag refer to our nation colors for yellow and blue. The 7 stars of the national flag are replaced by only one star in red - to symbolize the unity of the country. It's printed in Red in memory of our 4 million deaths.		The DRC is the center of our hearts. And the number "one" mean we stay together as "1" to underlines our country integrity in only one State.
