Georges Alula has 16 years of management experience in some large corporate. He is the president and chief executive officer (CEO) of Lupsor System Inc. in USA. Alula is a former Project Manager at Alcatel Cable (1991-1993). He was in charge of the information system for the businesses administration and corporate financial management with an asset of over $7 US billion.

In 1994, he joined the bank Société Générale as a Consultant. He was in charge of the electronic surveillance of securities for the Paris stock exchange.

Then from 1995 to 1998, he worked as a full time Consultant at Renault automobiles. He has important budget responsibility. He managed the information System for two corporate departments (electric and electronic studies – parts and assembling process) covering almost 1200 people. He worked also for France 3 televisions as Consultant.

George Alula is the Inventor of the most advanced safety sun visor protecting against frontal glare in the car. [Internationally recognized, his biography was published in the year 2000 edition of US directory "International Who's Who of Professionals"].

Volunteer job and political activites

Georges Alula has several years of experience of in volunteer works. He has been always interested in the DRC politics. He has expertise in diplomatic and negotiation matters.

Former militant of the Union for the Democracy and the Social Progress - UDPS (1980 - 2001), He contributed to the reorganization of the section of Udps in France in 1993. The national presiding board awarded Alula and his team-mates an Honored Member status.

Georges is also a member of the Collective of the Congolese Patriots in France since 1998.

In 1992, He was one the expert committee who organized the symposium about "The future of the democracy in Zaire" in Paris. Georges Alula is the author of the article relating to "Small and medium business Development in DRC" [See Acts of the symposium: Published by Edition Louis Gérard, p.161,1997] .

In 1995, with the Congolese Diaspora in Switzerland, he contributed to the symposium of Puidoux in the "Assessment of the political transition in Zaire - from 1990 to 1995".

In 1996, He was the co-chairman of the "International symposium on the reconstruction of Zaire" in Blankenberg in Belgium. This symposium led to a new project for the reconstruction and the development of the DRC [Acts published by Editions Société Ouverte, Bruxelles - 2001] . He was member of the Executive Committee of the Congolese Diaspora Coordination (CDC) since 1996. After the reorganization of CDC, he was elected Vice - President of the Federation of the Congolese Abroad for France in December 2001.

Human right activist, Georges Alula was a member of the African section of the "League Against Racism and Anti-Semitism" (LICRA) in the year 1990's.

In 1994, he is the Vice-President of the Association for the Research of Investment and Funds for Africa (ARIFA). With ARIFA, he initiated and organized a humanitarian action in favor of "Rwanda's Orphans" during the genocide of 1994 - Sponsored by two United Nations organisation (Unicef, UNESCO) and ACCT (the French Agency of Cultural and Technical cooperation - current OIF : International organization of French-speaking) -.

Georges Alula is a former Vice - President of the Association of the Doctorate student of Metz University - AETC (1987/88).

He was also the Secretary General of the Association of African Student of Metz – AMEA (1986).

He was also the former Captain of the Congolese community's soccer team in Metz - 1985-1988.

Background

Georges Alula was born on July 10, 1957 in Kisangani, Province Orientale in DRC. He started his elementary school at the Frères Maristes school in Kisangani, then moved to Kinshasa where he attended the elementary school Christ the king in the city of Kasa-Vubu. He completed his elementary school at Holy Gabriel, Yolo-Nord, city of Kalamu. He obtained his high school Diploma at Institute of Gombe in Kinshasa.

Alula obtained his Industrial Engineer Candidate diploma from the State's Superior Industrial Institute of Mons (ISIEM), Belgium. Alula obtained his chemical Industrial Engineering Degree from the Brussels Superior Industrial Institute in 1984. He obtained his Advanced Study Diploma (DEA) in Molecular chemistry from the University of Nancy in France 1985.

Alula was admitted to the French National Research Center (CNRS) in 1985 and obtained in 1988 his Doctorate Degree in Chemistry with highest honors. For this work, he obtained a science award from the French National Academy of Metz for his contribution in molecular chemistry.

George Alula is graduate in Business Management. He has also a Master Degree in Computer Science from the most prestigious French telecommunications university "Telecom Paris".

Alula, who is fluent in English and French, speaks also Swahili and Lingala. He understands Kikongo and Tshiluba.
